As a software provider, Ingenuity has always recognised the need to invest in the future while continuing the development of its current range of applications.
Ingenuity's involvement in the area of research and development (R&D) began when the company was awarded the MSC status in May 2000. Ingenuity's core emphasis of R&D is in the areas of:
| |
Research new technologies and system applications
| |
Conduct feasibility study on the research findings
| |
Beta run the pilot applications
| |
Commercialise the R&D products and applications
The commitment of the R&D team at Ingenuity has allowed Ingenuity to successfully commercialise its activities over the years, which includes the FiRST business application suites ranging from Accounting, Point Of Sale to Payroll. These successful product development milestones have increased Ingenuity’s intellectual property know-how and commercial advantages over others – in line with Ingenuity’s corporate objective as a software company.
In recognition of Ingenuity’s commitment towards investing into the future, Ingenuity was invited by the United Nations in 2005 to the Expert Meeting on the Impact of FDI on Development, organised by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference is an avenue for experts to exchange views and high-level expertise among its global participants, particularly in highlighting the implications of emerging R&D trends and its related policies in Malaysia's ICT industry.
