Scanned vulnerabilities are matched against PatchLink's market-leading repository using the industry standard Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) identifiers developed by MITRE. Once accurately identified, the vulnerabilities are placed into a unique "group" for simple, effective viewing through PATCHLINK UPDATE's web-based interface (shown at right). The PacthLink Scanner Intergration Module includes a powerful, yet easy-to-use Scanner Upload Console, a stand-alone utility that facilitates the transfer of assessment scan information from your scanner into PATCHLINK UPDATE. This interface allows the user to select the appropriate scans from a drop-down list for propagation to the PatchLink Scanner Integration Point Web Service. Once the data has been placed on the Integration Point Web Service, it is availbale for immediate download by the PATCHLINK UPDATE Administrator. This simple process can be completed in minutes.
